Betty Bus

Ellie lives on a converted double decker bus, which she names Betty. I first met Ellie when I was commissioned to visit her and photograph the double glazed windows on her bus. Since then I have followed her journey as she has transitioned from London to Devon and living on-board the bus full time. In January 2020 I started to photograph life onboard Betty. I wanted to start in winter, when outdoor living is a little less romantic. Ellie is not living off-grid but she is living an alternative lifestyle. She could be described as a ‘digital nomad’ who has taken advantage of the freelance lifestyle and chosen to do things differently.
